Our fishing seasons change throughout the year, however, you can always count on there being something fun to fish for in North East Florida. We are rated one of the top things to do in St Augustine because our trips are personalized to what the conditions have to offer and what you want to do!

  • It varies based on the time of year. The best way to find out what we are catching pop-up instant messenger on the right side of the screen! You can also give us a call and we will be happy to answer your questions!

  • Most people book a 4 hour inshore in the fall, winter, and early spring. When summer rolls around, most people book a 4 hour nearshore or coastal trip.

    When you book the trip, Capt Rob will reach out to you & ask about what you are expecting. If you booked a trip that we don’t think is suitable for you, we can easily modify it!

  • You can learn more about each species and hot times to target them below.

    However, we are here to do our best to achieve your goals! If you have always longed to catch that one particular fish, tell Capt Rob when he calls you before the trip & he will work to make it happen!

  • Targeted on all of our inshore charters.

    Season: Closed from Oct 15 - November 30

    Limit: Min. 14 inches, 5 per person

  • Targeted on all charters.

    Peak times: October - April

    Season: Year-round

    Limit: Min 12 inches, 8 per person

  • Mahi are one of the most prized species in our area! Most of the fishery for them occurs in the spring 50+ miles offshore. However, we always have a shot at one on our coastal trips, particularly in the summer months!

  • Targeted on all of our nearshore & coastal charters.

    Peak times: May - August

    Season: Year-round

    Limit:

    Kingfish - 24 inches min., 3 per person

    Tarpon - catch and release only!

  • Most of our trips do not encounter grouper in this area. We generally have to go 40+ miles offshore to target them. However, your best bet is a 6 hour coastal trip if you want a shot at one!

    Season: May - June

    Limit: Varies by species

  • Unlike most of the state, we do not encounter Snook regularly. They are the unicorns of our charters

    Targeted on all of our inshore charters.

  • Targeted on all of our charters.

    Red Snapper: Closed nearly year-round (we catch them all the time though)

    Mangrove Snapper: Best in the summer months on inshore or coastal trips.

    Lane Snapper: Best in the summer months on inshore or coastal trips.

  • Encountered on inshore, nearshore, and coastal trips. Best targeted on nearshore trips!

    Peak times: May - August

    Catch & Release only!

  • We catch dozens of different types of fish here in St Augustine including Sea Bass, Tuna, Trout, Catfish, Cobia, and others. Each species has their own limits and seasons. Fortunately, we are very familiar with them all and can guide you on what is legal to keep or has to go back!

  • That’s easy! We are here to guide you from start to finish. Most newbies book a 3 or 4 hour inshore trip.

  • Come have a go at the fishery St Augustine has to offer! We fish with clients from all over the world who have caught everything from a Bass or a Marlin. Most of our hardcore anglers opt for the captains discretion based on what the hottest bite has been. If its hot outside, choose Nearshore or Coastal. If its cooler, choose Inshore.

  • Definitely a 3-4 hour Inshore trip. These are very interactive and entertaining. Perfect for kids.

  • It’s easy. You can see our calendar online and reserve the trip there. Once you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tons of information. Capt Rob will reach out to you before the trip to answer any questions or tell you what to expect!
